Vancouver, BC – written Friday, December 6th, 2024 – Mark your calendars for February 1, 2025, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, as the International Guitar Night (IGN) returns for its 25th annual tour, bringing together a spectacular lineup of guitar virtuosos to captivate audiences. Presented by Massey Theatre, this event is a celebration of diverse musical styles and an opportunity for guitar enthusiasts to experience the magic of live performance. This year, we are thrilled to highlight two extraordinary German guitarists, Lulo Reinhardt and Sönke Meinen, who are set to embark on an unforgettable musical journey.
Brian Gore, the founder of IGN, has meticulously curated an exciting lineup of new talent alongside fan favorites. Lulo Reinhardt, known for his Latin Swing style, is a grand-nephew of the legendary Django Reinhardt. His music is deeply rooted in Sinti tradition, showcasing not only his virtuoso technique but also his commitment to cultural outreach and musical exploration. Lulo’s extensive career has included leading bands like I Gitanos and his own Latin Swing Project, all while innovating and pushing the boundaries of his craft. Alexandra comes from a prestigious background, having emerged from Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
